Hilde Fjerdingøy

Hilde Fjerdingøy is one of Norway’s leading diatonic accordion players, known for her soulful, powerful, and groovy style. She performs music from a wide range of Nordic traditions and has immersed herself deeply in the musical heritage of Helgeland, her home region in northern Norway.

Originally from Svalbard and raised in Helgeland Hilde has developed a strong artistic voice rooted in tradition while embracing contemporary expression. She is currently performing her solo production Belg! and is active in several projects and ensembles. In 2025 she received the norwegian artist grant for traditional art.
